ROCK ON!

I see where O'sama says he's willing to negotiate. What does that mean to me? It means WE'RE WINNING. It means his power is eroding. It means he's tired of living in caves like the hunted animal he is. It means the liberal press is WRONG. It means now is the time to, as Maximus says in "The Gladiator", "unleash hell".

Thanks to guys like Capt. B and his buddies we are reordering the terrorist agenda. If the bad guys were being successful there would be no talk of negotiation. It's not in their nature. And of course there's threats. What's he going to say, "If you don't negotiate I'll just go away". I don't think so.

I worry that he is offering this truce before his legions throughout the world really batter us...then he could say to his cronies "Well, I offered them a chance to reconcile, and they blew it". I hope I'm wrong, that this is just a tired, old man ready to come to America to get dialysis.

Negotiation has been a ploy of the left wing and Islam. They use the negotiations to get a cease fire and use the time to rearm and come back at you again. I remeber the Paris peace talks which stopped the bombs on hanoi after we had the N. Vietamese bombed to their knees. Harry Truman had the right idea about winning and how to win. FINISH IT. Total surrender and total submission or total distruction. ANy thing else just gives the enemy time to rebuild and fight again,

I love that quote..."At my command unleash hell on them."

What the Romans had which most liberal Democrats today dont understand was a will to survive at all cost.

Even in their day the world was a dangerous place (nothings changed)That is why they existed for 900 years!!!

Reason? They were the badest dudes on the block! And they were not afraid of CNN back then. They just let it go baby.

The only reason radical Islam offers a truce is because a truce now is better then the total defeat down the road they're headed.
Thanks for your comments Tim, Bonita, Guy and "anon".

The thing is OBL is probably offering the truce because he knows HE'S a bit screwed, but that doesn't mean the terrorist agenda is dead. OBL has started to become eclipsed by younger radicals who show no signs of giving up the fight.

And guyk, using the generalised term 'Islam' shows a sad level of ignorance. I live in a country with many Muslims, a lot of whom are my friends. It is high time people stopped painting an entire religion by the acts of extremists.

Your absolutly correct about the terrorist ajenda, Binty. The youngsters are taking over. The thing is they don't have the organization of OBL's group...yet

Hmmm.... one of the figures I'm talking about is one of OBL's deputies. I note also that Hamas has won at the Palestinian elections for the first time.... a group that the west denounce as terrorists. Usually the polls there return a more moderate party. Still think that terrorism is going to go away, because I'm not quite as convinced!

It's not going away, Binty, but the central authority of OBL is eroding into smaller and more diverse groups. I'm sure since OBL has pretty much lost his juice one of his deputies will try to take over and whether another will be as effective remains to be seen. I think the western intelligence community has zeroed in on the actors in that circle. The terrorist attacks in your neck of the woods, I feel, were perpetrated by groups working outside OBL's organization.

It's going to be interesting to see the ramifications of the Hammas victory. One would hope by the legitimization of the party, they will abandon their terrorist activities and work for a lasting peace (I know that's kind of an oximoron) in the area.
