The good news is we've quit smoking. It's been several days for me and over a week for Wanda. Please, no applause.

I'm so glad to hear you've stopped smoking - just now I've been looking at thorasic tumors and lung cancer photos on the web. I'm tempted to post a few, just to help people stop destroying their lungs. I hope you both are successful - and good luck.
I'm of the old school and believe that anyone that really desires to give smoking up, CAN.
Dean quit, cold turkey over 30 years ago, first cigarettes, then the pipe, and he has made it to 81 years old and in great shape.
ON the other hand, I have never smoked, so how do I explain myself !!!
Anyway, keep it up, you will be much better off and I know there are are many who want to see you both stay around a long time.
A mother that is 84!! You want to keep up with her, QUIT those cigarettes and any other bad habits!!!
Some kidding here but I do hope you both stay around.

Betty, this about the umteenth time I've quit. But for some reason it was harder this time than the other times. I really don't want to start again. Actually, I prayed to quit. The Lord then made me so ill I didn't want to smoke. So by the time I've recovered, I don't have the urge to smoke. The Lord does work in mysterious ways. He did the same for Wanda. :)

Well congrats to you both..it's the hardest thing in the world to do...and I ain't done it yet...I've tried at least 15times....maybe the 16th will be it...don't know....but ya'll keep it up...really proud of the both of ya'.
